Russia to help Japan in returning otter to Hokkaido

A Russian-Japanese project to reintroduce otter to Japan has been launched. An otter breeding and reintroduction center with the breeding stock coming from the Russian Sakhalin is being set up at the Japanese island of Hokkaido
